Baltics: Latvia, Lithuania Push on With Austerity as Estonia Enters Euro Zone

Bloomberg’s David Tweed has made a run through Europe highlighting the economy in each country as he reports this August. He has just gone to the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, the videos of which I feature below. While Estonia is luring investors because of its EU entry, Latvia is still concentrating on austerity while Lithuania too is trying to fix its budget with asset sales.

Videos below.

I have already featured Tweed’s take on Sweden, which focuses on the present good economy there rather than the lingering exposure to the Baltics. Going forward I will post some of the other videos from Norway, Germany, Spain and more.  As a series, it’s a good 30,000 foot view.
