Here is the application for International Festival VILNIUS MAMA JAZZ 2017 | Showcase Stage. The festival dates are 15-19 of November 2017.

The colourful Vilnius Mama Jazz festival, which offers a variety of jazz styles, has been held in the capital of Lithuania since 2002. The musical line-ups have encompassed everything from all star projects to contemporary post-bop, live sound for silent cinema, and arrangements of Led Zeppelin music accompanied by cabbage soup flavour. Quality, originality and relevance are the unifying factors defining the diversity of festival programmes.

First edition of the Showcase Stage presented 10 foreign acts and two Lithuanian acts. Festival hosted 15 delegates from 9 countries.

This year festival presents second edition of Vilnius Mama Jazz | Showcase Stage. We’re looking for bands and live acts with previous concert experience, who are ready for international exposure.

The deadline for the application is 14th of May 2017.

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURE

Deadline for the application: 14th of May, 2017.
Announcement of selected participants: 21st of May, 2017.
Festival dates: 15-19 November 2017.

The application form and information material (band information, press releases and songs) must be provided via the Gigmit online application system only. We reserve the right to edit your artist introduction where necessary and ask for more materials if needed.

Please note this application will not guarantee you a slot in the festival line-up, but every application will be thoroughly considered and we will be in touch with you latest by 14th of May, 2017. Due to the high number of applications we are unable to give personal feedback to any band or artist who have been unsuccessful.

We will provide:
• accommodation for one night
• dinner on the day of the performance
• best possible promotion
• sound & lights
• exposure to international music industry press & professionals
• Festival Pass to all festival events. (Festival passes are for band and crew. One pass per person.)

Please note that the festival does not cover:
• fees and travel costs

Selected artists are required to perform 30 – 40 minute sets unless discussed differently.

All participating bands commit to using only the available backline and PA. Backline will be provided according to the submitted technical riders after approval of festival’s managing technical engineer.

The organizer is authorized to record the performances and receives the broadcast rights, as long as it has no monetary benefit. The recordings are made available on internet to the artists for their own non-commercial self-promotion.

All conditions and respective liabilities of each party will be put down in a concert agreement that is to be signed by both parties prior to the event

Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.

NB. The applicants are responsible for organizing and financing the arrival and departure of their bands, and bear any additional costs. Therefore, we strongly encourage all showcasing artists to apply for funding at the relevant institutions in their respective home countries. Please note if needed festival can provide you with a letter of invitation.
