MEGA RIGA 2013 Mega-Event Cache

We invite you to the first geocaching Mega event in the Baltic States.
 
The time of the event is from 12^th to 14^th of July, 2013.
 
The event takes place in the capital of Latvia – Riga, in a historic 18^th century building that is a national monument – Hartmanis manor. You will have the opportunity to discover many other historic places in our beautiful city Riga.     

Our mission - TO PRESENT RIGA
 
We present Riga as a friendly, accessible and interesting city to geocachers of any age and expectations! Riga is the place where you can enjoy the marvelous architecture of a city with a long and rich history in the city center and the Old Town. Riga is the place where you can enjoy a relaxing walk in a park in almost any district. Riga is the place where the nature is only a few kilometers away from the center – you can go to the beach, jog in the forest or walk along the riverside Daugava. Riga is the place where you can seek various kinds of geocaches for various preferences – you can seek tourist-friendly caches in the Old Town, you seek for geocaches in old army forts near the sea, you can also find more challenging caches for the adrenaline junkies. And they all are within the reach of the public transportation system of Riga. The bicycle lovers can enjoy interesting geocaches along the bike paths of Riga.
 
We present Riga as the heart of the only country in the World that has its border marked with 300 geocaches named “LV series”, created by real patriots of Latvia, as the place from which you can start your exploration of this country of rich history and untouched nature!
 
We present Riga and welcome you to stay here as long as you can as there are so many things to explore and enjoy!
 
We present Riga as a place where you can spend your vacation with your family and friends, party and, of course, do the thing you love the most – seek geocaches anyplace, anytime! The community of Latvian geocachers is welcoming you and is ready to help to get to know our Riga!

The HQ of the event is only 7 km from the Riga International Airport and 4 km away from the Seaport of Riga, Central Bus Station and Central Train Station.
