APPLICATION FORM for participants of ComEdu co-working meeting: CREATING COMICS FOR EDUCATION
ComEdu: CREATING COMICS FOR EDUCATION is international co-working meeting and training course in Latvia for educators, youth workers and artists from partner and their collaboration organizations from Latvia, Portugal and Estonia to develop educational comics for young people. The objectives of the meeting are:
→ to build a network between the partners, artists and educators / youth workers;
→ to select the topics and content for the educational comics and set up the co-working teams;
→ to begin to create educational materials for youth using comics as a tool and communication form.

Dates: 28 January – 3 February 2019, Latvia, Talsu novads
Participants: 20 youth workers and artists from Latvia, Estonia and Portugal

Organizer: Grafiskie Stāsti (Latvia) www.komikss.lv 
Project partners: Rota Jovem (Portugal) and NGO Mondo (Estonia).

APPLY if you are:
→ YOUTH WORKER / EDUCATOR that is actively involved in youth work and collaborates with one of the partner organizations AND/OR
→ comic ARTIST, illustrator, student of arts or self-taught person interested or experienced in visual narratives, comics and turning ideas into visual stories;
→ 18+ years old resident of Latvia, Estonia or Portugal;
→ English speaker (the working language of the project is English);
→ ready to fully participate in the seminar in Latvia from 28 January to 3 February 2019;
→ ready to work in teams of 2-3 people to develop a visual educational material (content and drawings – with the most successful and finished we will do contracts);
→ ready to organize a local activity – a book opening and an exhibition in your local community.

ComEdu: Comics for Education is a strategic partnership project in the field of youth (innovative practices) that aims to improve and expand international youth work by bringing comic artists and youth workers together and developing comics as a learning and communication tool in non-formal education.

The project is supported by Erasmus+: Youth in Action program, thus accommodation, food, training materials and travel expenses will be covered in return of your time and energy investment drawing educational comics.
