Terms of Use
These terms govern the use of the ej.uz service. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
Definitions
- Service - the ej.uz short link creation service.
- Short link - a shortened link created by ej.uz that redirects to the specified long link.
- User - any person who uses the Service.
Service description
The Service provides the ability to create short links and use them to redirect to long links. It may also provide related features such as QR codes, click statistics, account-owned short-link management, destination rules, link options, passkeys, and API keys.
Accounts and API access
Accounts use email-link sign-in and optional passkeys. The User is responsible for access to their email account, registered passkeys, and API keys.
API keys are intended only for the account owner or systems authorized by the account owner. The User must revoke API keys that are no longer needed or may have been exposed.
Age restriction
The Service has no age restriction. The User must have the legal capacity or guardian permission required to use the Service.
Acceptable use
The User agrees not to use the Service for prohibited or unlawful activities, including:
- distribution of malware;
- phishing or theft of access credentials;
- fraud;
- distribution of spam;
- promotion of online gambling websites;
- attempts to bypass security checks, rate limits, access controls, or service restrictions;
- any other activity that violates laws or third-party rights.
The Service may refuse to create or update a short link if safety checks fail for the submitted long URL or for the final redirect target found after following redirects.
Content responsibility and short link deletion
The User is fully responsible for short links and related content. The service provider is not responsible for third-party content that short links point to.
Short links and the destination URLs they point to are accessible to anyone who has the short link. The User should not include personal, confidential, or sensitive information in short-link aliases or destination URLs unless the User accepts that this information may be visible to others.
If the User created a short link while signed in, the User can change the short link's long URL and delete the short link from the account interface. If the short link was created anonymously, the User must contact the service provider to request a long URL change or short link deletion. Proof of control or other evidence may be required case by case before acting on an anonymous short-link request.
The service provider reserves the right to delete or block any short link at any time at its discretion, including if there are suspicions of misuse or legal violations.
The service provider may also restrict, disable, or revoke accounts, passkeys, API keys, link options, or destination rules if they are used to misuse the Service, create a security risk, violate these terms, or for legal reasons.
Availability
The Service may be temporarily or permanently suspended, modified, or limited without prior notice.
Intellectual property
All rights to the Service (including trademarks, design, and content) belong to the service provider or other rights holders. The User only obtains the right to use the Service in accordance with these terms.
Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is", without any express or implied warranties to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, the service provider is not liable for direct or indirect losses that may arise in connection with the use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Personal data
Personal data processing is carried out in accordance with the ej.uz privacy policy.
Changes to the terms
The service provider may change these terms from time to time. Material changes take effect after reasonable notice, given by publishing the updated terms or another appropriate notice. Changes required for legal, security, abuse-prevention, or operational reasons may take effect immediately upon publication.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
